I am mighty proud of this one It might be strange for most, but I really like it. It is, of course, influenced by van Gogh, but I think it is original enough to call it my own.

Interesting painting. It was cause of much pondering. To me personally, the black background is a bit harsh and unsettling, lending a vaguely threatening air to the picture. The stars glare out dramatically and coldly, filling the sky like the huge, burning suns that they are. I wondered about the title, whether it is referring to the stars or to the glowing windows of houses about the lake. Or something else? And what about them makes them 'evil'... I always felt that windows glowing in the night were beacons of warmth and comfort, although in daylight I despise the ugly urban sprawl of houses into the hills.
